In working with elder clients I am always trying to find new ways to get them to talk about their past, also something they truly love doing. In this project I had my students trace their hands on a piece of paper. Some of them needed help so I would trace their hands. I would then have them paint and color their hands. Then I asked them to write on the paper all the things they have done with those hands throughout their life. So much fun to see their eyes light up as they reminisce. At the end I would have us all discuss some of their favorite memories with everyone!
